Expert profile builder extension
What this extension does
The Connected.uz Profile Builder helps you create and update an expert profile for connected.uz. With your action, it reads public information from your LinkedIn profile (and publicly visible info about connections) so AI can draft a profile that you review, edit, and publish.
Data we collect
We collect only what is needed for profile building and service reliability. 1) From your LinkedIn profile (public fields you can already view): name, headline, summary/about, positions, education, skills, and public profile image/URL. 2) From your LinkedIn connections (public only): name, public profile image/URL, and headline where visible to you. 3) From your use of Connected.uz: profile content you submit or approve and basic account details for authentication. 4) Technical/diagnostic data (minimal): error codes, timings, extension/app versions used to improve reliability and security. We do not collect your LinkedIn password, private messages, or content you cannot already view.
How we use data
a) Profile building and updates for connected.uz. b) Improving expert discovery quality (e.g., using public connection metadata). c) Operations and security: debugging, abuse prevention, and performance. We do not sell data and do not share it with third parties for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Permissions and technologies we use
Host access is limited to: • https://connected.uz/* — authenticate, save, and update your profile via our APIs. • https://dashboard.connected.uz/* — access your workspace for drafts and publishing. • https://*.linkedin.com/* — read pages you can already view while signed in (your profile, public connection info) solely for profile building. Cookies: • Connected.uz cookies keep you signed in and authorize API requests. • LinkedIn cookies allow access to pages you can already view, to read public fields (e.g., name, headline, public photo, experience). We do not use cookies for advertising and do not store LinkedIn/Connected.uz cookies in extension storage. Chrome storage: We keep minimal, non-sensitive state (preferences, progress flags, temporary caches) to provide a smooth experience.
Legal bases (where applicable)
We process data under: (i) performance of a contract (providing the profile-building service you request), and (ii) legitimate interests (reliability, security, improvement), balanced against your rights.
Sharing of data
We do not sell personal data. We do not share data with third parties for ads. We may disclose data to vetted service providers (e.g., hosting, error monitoring) bound by contracts that limit use, or when required by law or to protect rights, users, or the public.
Retention
• Profile content: retained while you maintain an account or until deletion. • LinkedIn public snippets used for drafting: kept only as needed for profile building. • Local extension storage: minimal and user-clearable. • Diagnostic logs: retained only as necessary for reliability and security. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Your choices and controls
You decide when to run the extension and what to submit. Review and edit drafts before publishing. You can disable or uninstall the extension and clear cookies to revoke session access. You may manage, edit, or delete your profile on connected.uz at any time.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, request portability, or lodge a complaint with a data authority. To exercise rights, contact us at privacy@connected.uz. For California residents, we do not sell or share personal information as defined by CPRA.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring) to protect data. No method is 100% secure; please use strong, unique passwords and keep your browser up to date.
Children’s privacy
The service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
International data transfers
If data is processed outside your country, we apply safeguards designed to ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law (e.g., contractual protections with service providers).
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new Effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
